Best ways of preventing corrosion

Corrosion Resistant Coatings Corrosion resistant coatings shield metal components against degradation due to salt spray, moisture, oxidation or exposure to many different industrial or environmental chemicals. Anti-corrosion coating allows for additional protection of metal surfaces and behave as a barrier to inhibit the contact between chemical compounds or corrosive substances. Many of the coatings listed below also provide a bonus of abrasion resistance, nonstick chemical and functionality protection. Metal Coatings provides corrosion protection fastener coating services and both corrosion resistant bolt coating services.
Advantages of Corrosion Resistant Coatings Coatings with anti-corrosive properties ensure alloy parts have the longest possible lifespan. Because metal components run in severe applications, Metal Coatings provides the most widely used corrosion protection coatings on the market, including our one-of-a-kind Fluorokote#1®, a unique fluoropolymer coating with resistance to extreme compound applications for greatest run life.
Metal Coatings Corp. brings three decades of expertise to the application of corrosion resistant coaters, along with the advantage of an 80,000 square foot facility staffed around the clock with coating sector professionals prepared to handle rush jobs.
A wide variety of anti-corrosion coatings are available, including corrosion resistant steel coatings, to match the functionality requirements of a particular application.

Xylan Coatings

Xylan® Coatings certainly are a family of fluoropolymer coatings designed for use on numerous kinds of fasteners and OEM components, including xylan coated bolts to avoid corrosion. Most Xylan® coatings contain PTFE or alternative types of lubricants and are applied in thin films. Xylan coating is a dry film lubricant.
Xylan Coating Process supplies: lubrication and controlled friction, wear resistance, heat resistance, nonstick and release properties, can also shield from corrosion.
Solving difficulties with Industrial Xylan Coating:
Industrial Xylan® Coatings solve the difficulties created when the perfect material for use in engineering construction has the surface properties that are erroneous. Parts made from stuff together with the optimum durability, weight and cost gall, seize or may corrode. Xylan® coatings provide a working surface, tailored to the program. Also using industrial xylan coatings allows for decreased breakout torques as a result of its anti-corrosion and low-friction properties. Metal Coatings also provides many different different coating colours including black Xylan® coating.

Thermally Conductive Epoxy Coatings

Thermal epoxy cure coatings are especially blended high molecular weight coatings which provide outstanding corrosion resistance in many surroundings. These thermally conductive epoxy coatings may also be perfect for applications where an abrasion resistant coating regularly used as primers to improve the adhesion of coatings on metal surfaces and is needed. Thermal epoxy cure coatings offer excellent barrier protection from alkali and caustic solutions, along with other harsh chemicals and solvents.

Polyurethane Coatings for Metal Surfaces

Polyurethane coating on alloy gives a thin film, high polish finish with weathering performance characteristics that are special. This coating, generally known as poly coating, can be used in nearly all industrial marketplaces to offer a smooth durable finish that's superior resistance. Polyurethanes are normally used to topcoat high build epoxy and inorganic zinc.
Metal Coatings supplies polyurethane coating services throughout the USA. We also provide expedited delivery to southern states including Mississippi, and Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, Oklahoma. Our corrosion resistant polyurethane coatings for urethane and metal coatings for fasteners and other metal products are also readily available for emergency delivery. Phenolic Coatings

Consistent high quality protection is offered by phenolic coatings for a broad variety of applications including submergence service for many acids, solvents, and salts. This epoxy phenolic coating is usually used where higher temperatures and low pH environments are variables. These phenolic coaters have outstanding resistance to 92% - 98% sulfuric acid at temperatures up to 120°F. Phenolic coatings may also be immune to hydrochloric acid, phenol, anhydrous chlorobenzene, carbon tetrachloride, and many other compounds. Phenolic coatings are also know to be perfect for fasteners. MetCoat offers many different pre-coated fasteners, check out our entire line of pre-coated fasteners.

Fluoropolymer Coatings

Fluoropolymer coatings are blends of high performance resins and fluoropolymer lubricants. These coatings are a superior dry film lubricant that offer outstanding corrosion and chemical resistance and create a smooth, hard, glossy coating. Other benefits of fluoropolymer coatings comprise abrasion resistance, resistance to galling, non stick, non wetting, electrical resistance and reduced friction. Fluoropolymer coating applications are extensive; the coatings are applied to fasteners and various OEM parts to provide a longer life before replacement.
For fastener coatings we offer our own proprietary fluoropolymer coating formulated with superior features for greatest fastener life and also the easiest potential removal, FluoroKote #1.

Halar® ECTFE Coatings

Halar® ECTFE coating is a melt-processable fluoropolymer with a 1:1 switching copolymer structure of ethylene and chlorotrifluoroethylene. As element of the fluoropolymer family, Halar® Coatings or ECTFE Coatings have a unique mixture of properties including exceptional chemical resistance, good electrical properties, a broad-use temperature range, outstanding abrasion resistance, and excellent impact strength. Moreover, PVDF (also known as Kynar) is part of the fluoropolymer family offering similar properties to ECTFE.
Halar® / ECTFE Coatings withstand a wide variety of organic solvents and corrosive substances , including strong acids, chlorine, and aqueous caustics making them perfect for vessels and process equipment for many industries including the petrochemical business.
